    Getting Started Guide for New Resellers

    In this article, you will learn how to properly configure H-Sphere reseller control panel in a series of steps. After completing the steps outlined below you will be able to host domains for your clients.

    Step 1 - Reading our welcome e-mail

    You will receive an e-mail from servergrid with the subject New Account: << Plan Name >> as soon as you signup for a reseller account with the required control panel URL.

    Step 2 - Logging into H-Sphere Control Panel

    Your next task is to login to the H-Sphere control panel by visiting the control panel and supplying the Username and Password which you gave at the time of signing up.


    Step 3 - Entering Administrative details

    As soon as you login you will view a page which prompts you to enter the Administrative details. Enter the required details and click the Submit button. You will view a screen as shown below


    Step 4 - Navigating to Reseller Administration page

    Click the icon marked as shown above to enter into reseller's administration page. H-Sphere will automatically open the administrators page meant for resellers.

    You will see a note that you have not entered your company information. You can supply the required details by selecting Company Info from the Look and Feel menu and following the instructions given on that page.


    Step 5 - Creating DNS Zone

    The next step is to create a DNS Zone by selecting DNS Manager from E.Manager menu. Click Add DNS Zone link located under the DNS Manager section.


    You should supply the required information such as your domain name without WWW, e-mail address without "@". You should check mark the option Allow third domain level hosting.

    It is advisable to leave Master Server and Slave 1 Server values as such without any modifications. Click Submit button after entering the required information.


    Step 6 - Creating Instant Domain Aliases

    The next step is to set up Instant Domain Aliases. For this purpose, click the icon with the tooltip Edit located under the Action column. Click Add instant alias link and enter a character. It is advisable to leave the value of Shared IP Tag as such.


    Step 7 - Creating Nameservers

    The next step is to create nameservers for hosting your websites. For this purpose, select Server Aliases from the E.Manager menu and click the Submit button. H-Sphere will create the nameservers and displays the corresponding IP addresses.

    We would suggest you not to modify any values unless you are not sure about it. Feel free to submit a support ticket or contact us via live chat for any help.

    You will view a list of all server aliases for all services on this page.


    Step 8 - Setting up Nameservers

    The next step is to create the name servers using the IP addresses which you saw from the above step. You have to make use of the control panel which you received after registering the domain from your registrar for this purpose.

    If your domain registrar is directi then this process is called as creation of child nameservers. For other registrars please contact the registrar or refer to their official documentation.

    The initial configuration process is now complete. Your next task is to create the required hosting plan and add domains.


    Step 9 - Creating a Hosting Plan

    In order to create a hosting plan, select the menu item Plan Creation Wizards from the Info menu. Select Windows plan wizard as shown below


    You will view a page with the caption Windows Plan Plan Creation Wizard. Step 1.

    Enter the desired plan name and Uncheck Summary Disk Usage, Domain registration and Domain Transfer options as shown below.



    1) Check mark Stopgap Domain if you wish to view your website before DNS propagation. This is similar to temporary URL's in other control panels.

    2) Select the option Service Domain if you wish to host the nameserver domain. Please make sure to uncheck this option if you wish to create a plan for your clients.

    3) Scroll down to the page and select the required options as per your requirements.

    4) Select Without billing option from the Settings section.

    This is not required for hosting your own domains. However, if you wish to host domains for your clients with the built-in billing functionality, then you should select the Paid option. Please refer to the official documentation for a detailed explanation regarding this.

    5) Select Next button located on the bottom of the page to proceed.

    In the next page you will need to enter the required traffic, disk space and mailbox quota sizes as shown below



    NOTE: You should note that you are creating a hosting plan for hosting unlimited domains.

    Click the button captioned CREATE_Plan100 to add the plan to the system. You will view a confirmation page and the plan will be added to the Plans section.


    Step 10 - Activating a Hosting Plan

    In order to activate a hosting plan, click the red square button from the Signup Access column as shown below.



    As soon as you click the button, the interface will be changed as shown below



    Step 11 - Hosting Domains

    To host domains, click the blub icon next to the plan name as marked in the above figure. A new window will be opened with the caption H-SPHERE. Plan_100 plan signup.

    Click the button located on the bottom of the right hand side and follow the on-screen instructions.

    You will view a page with four options as shown below after entering the username and password.



    Select the option Host existing site if you wish to host your current site on our server.

    NOTE: The Username and Password which you entered is meant for accessing User control panel

    You will need to enter a domain name in the next step. You can add additional domain names after logging into the user control panel.

    Finally, you will be presented with a page with the following message



    Please be patient while H-Sphere creates the required domain. You will automatically view User control panel after the completion of the process.

    Click Domains icon and select the icon next to Add new domain option to host additional domains. The Domain List section will be populated with the domain names as you add them one by one.

    That's it. We hope that you have successfully configured your H-Sphere reseller control panel, created a hosting plan and hosted a domain without any problem.
