what is the most common software for managing the site content,  I have been having difficulty getting my MS Frontpage to be allowed accessto actually save page changes. I have used the edit feature from within the ftp file manager section, but this is not at all a friendly editing environment.  Any suggestons would be nice, thanks in advance.

Frontpage really needs HTTP access (under WebDav?) rather than ftp. It should, of course, work with MS servers, but the configs need to be set right.

With DreamWeaver, WebDav settings ought to work, as ftp with the MS servers is not reliable in my experience, at least with DW MX, which is the latest version I have. I think I found a pluggin that let me access MS servers via WebDav at my university, with some success.

Anyway, since I've been doing mostly heavily software-driven sites lately, with PHP and ASP.NET, neither DreamWeaver nor FrontPage are very nice to work with. DreamWeaver in particular has trouble displaying content pages with master pages in ASP.NET, and so on. Now many of my sites have 'virtual' pages run under Http modules, and have very dynamic content. For me, FrontPage and Dreamweaver are fading away in terms of useability.
