    Hello,

There are no known issues with our servers which would cause an error like that. Please ensure you have followed all of the instructions at http://www.servergrid.com/support/article.aspx?id=13975 and that you are using the exact instructions for SSIS given in your MSSQL manager's documentation. You may continue to receive advice from other customers here in the forums, or for technical support requests which should be answered by Servergrid, please use the ticket system.  Thanks, have a great day.

    Hi webvigor,

I'm trying to create my backups using SSIS too. As I understand, our problem is: the backups are created on the *server* hard disk. I think I've already added a couple backups to C:// drive of mssql5 (sorry, servergrid).

Does anybody know how to tell to SSIS package to store the backups on my local disk?

    Thanks in advance

    Good day.

I'm thinking about moving my site to servergrid, I talked with the live chat support too.

Looks like there are two answers:

    1. Read http://www.servergrid.com/support/article.aspx?id=13975

    2. Read SSIS documentation.

    My questions are:

    1. Is there any customer who make the backups to his/her local computer?

    2. How he/her does it?

    Thank you in advance,

    Nata.

Same question for me. Actually, it would nice if the local database backups were stored in a place that could be reached by FTP and/or authenticated HTTP.

Hi, just wanted to pass along a comment that was posted by a customer to our knowledge base at http://servergrid.com/support/article.aspx?id=13975

To copy a local database (e.g. one used for development) to the server: Download SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with Advanced Services from http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-au/express/bb410792.aspx and install the Business Intelligence tools. Then use C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\DTSWizard.exe to copy across the database.

The utility mentioned above, included in that particular MSSQL download package, looks like it provides an additional option for transferring a database and appears similar to the way things were done in MSSQL 2000.  This information has been reposted here exactly as it was provided to us; we hope it is useful to you.

I have succeded to copy data from servergrid server to my local database. But rember this is just copy of database. you need database structure at local end.

I faced great problem  when i started to lanuch membership and login mechanism in asp.net 2.0. Then i made a script of that  and executed that script at servergrid server.

Now i simply copy my data form servergrid's server.
